The construction unit "west" is located in the central area of solarCity Linz-Pichling and together with construction units "north" and "south" forms the local centre with bus and tramway stops. The neighbourhood centre consists of four 2-level buildings, of which two are connected on the ground floor.

Between the construction units so-called "lanes" and "atria" with gallery levels have been built, taking over connecting and public functions.
